PRINTS (only 10 available):

Only 10 limited-edition prints of this work will be made available in addition to the original painting.

NB: these prints are of the artwork only and not the Dresden Dolls posters and merchandise, which you can get here:

You have the option of:

  • purchasing prints in my Etsy store, or
  • ordering a signed print which will be produced and shipped from South Africa.

Both are created on the same paper, but the Etsy prints will be shipped and delivered from the UK with a certificate of authenticity and are not personally signed. Signed prints will be shipped from South Africa and are signed by me and accompanied by a note and certificate. They will take slightly longer to process and deliver.

The prints I sell are top quality Fine Art Prints (as opposed to poster or wall-art prints) created to exacting standards, on top-grade Hahnemuhle German Etching acid and lignin-free, white cotton paper. They are the finest reproductions of an artwork you can buy and they come certified as limited editions.

Print resolution
Giclée printers have a higher dot per square inch resolution than normal inkjet printers, allowing you to do justice to high quality image files to produce finer, less pixelated prints than you could with a home inkjet printer. My printing partner uses the latest use best-in-class Epson Sure Color P9000 printers, capable of producing print resolutions up to 1440 by 2880 DPI.

Colour range
Like your home inkjet printer, professional Giclée printers use the CMYK colour process, except that they feature a multiple ink cartridge, 8 channel printhead based on the CMYK colour model, adding light magenta, light cyan and 3 levels of black. In combination with my printer’s in-house colour profiles, their true Giclée prints deliver unrivalled colour accuracy with superior black & whites, exceptional colour gamut and sublimely smooth gradient transitions.

Archival quality
Giclée printers use a higher quality of fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks. When applied to high quality archival substrates, like, for example, the Hahnemühle papers, this results in an unbeatable archival lifespan of up to 200 years.

This heavyweight paper has a slightly warm base tone and a strong mottled texture. It creates a print with strong colours and deep blacks that feel rich and high in contrast. This is due to the texture of the paper enabling it to hold more ink and capture the light. The German Etching is one of our heavier weight Giclée art printing papers. With its weight and strong texture this paper gives an artwork a handmade crafted feel. Hahnemüle German Etching is a robust Giclée paper, meaning it doesn’t tend to fray as much at the edges.
