Niki creates limited-edition original variants of many of her works. Each variant is a handmade artwork and as such, while they look alike, no two are exactly the same. Variation is sometimes stark and deliberately introduced.
Niki hand-makes between 1 and 5 original variants of each work (selected variant numbers are higher for a few early works).
These works are signed on the bottom right and numbered on the left if more than one version exists. They are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Some works, notably commissions and some work entered into competitions, and extra-large works (22×30″) are limited to one original work. All the work on this website is for sale unless otherwise indicated.
VARIATION
With some variants, Niki develops and explores the original work and creates a piece which looks very different as with the artworks below, Imago (1 and 2 of 3) and Rock Bottom (2 and 3 of 3).
When a buyer requests a replication of the original, the work is remade with techniques and colours remaining true to the original. While no two are exactly alike, with nuanced distinctions setting them apart, the intrinsic spirit of the original creation is carefully preserved in subsequent iterations as with the works below (Wingmill and Perfect Ruin).
